Are rally cars far different from their street counterparts?

Rally cars are an entirely different breed of vehicle compared to the street cars that we drive regularly. Their purpose is to race over long distances and terrain, rather than the short commutes we know and love. They are made with far more powerful engines and special suspension systems to handle the bumpy roads and sharp turns they will encounter. In addition, rally cars feature unique body modifications, such as roll cages and wider tires, to maximize their performance. With these modifications, rally cars are able to handle the extreme conditions that they are put through during a race.
